When you see "W. Wodell, Co. Supt. . ." - He Was the County Superintendent of the Poor.
The individual was placed at Hudson River State Hospital upon his order, thereby indicating that the individual may have previously been an "inmate" at the Dutchess County Poorhouse.

If you have a "Story To Tell" about any of these individuals
which you would be willing to share
for posting on my website, please contact me.
Each and Every one of these individuals has a Story
and with each story that is told it helps alleviate the "stigma"
associated with institutions such as Asylums and Poorhouses!

"Money is not required to buy one necessity of the soul."
Henry David Thoreau
