Further information
including a death date may be found on some of these individuals at Ginny's Dutchess County Almshouse Death's Page. If you seek further information on any of the individuals Inmate Certificate Data is given for, you should check this page and compare the data. Be mindful that these records were handwritten and in each case I did my best deciphering the records - therefore be alert to spelling variations and variations between information in death records and the inmate certificates. If you have a death certificate for any of these individuals noting Place of Burial as "County Cemetery - Millbrook/ Washington/ Oak Summit" or "Brier Hill" then it is highly likely that the individual is buried at The Dutchess County Poorhouse Cemetery - Please Notify Ginny. If you have death certificates for any of these individuals noting burial elsewhere, I would also like to be notified as I will be able to rule them out as perhaps being one of the unidentified burials at "Brier Hill" - The Dutchess County Poorhouse Cemetery.

Have a "Story to Tell"?

As always, I continue to be in search of those having a story to tell for any of these individuals that they would be willing to share the story for to be linked and posted on my website - or if you already have a page for such an individual, let me know and I would be pleased to link to your site. Each one of the people who resided at the Poorhouse is a part of our HISTORY - Each one of them has a "Story To Tell" - With Each Story Told, we help to alleviate the Stigma Associated with the Poorhouse - E-mail Ginny if you have a "Story to Tell".
